With the arrival of spring and throughout the year, your dogs need extra protection against external elements such as ticks or fleas . With the Scalibor antiparasitic collar you won't have to worry about doing intensive cleanings for your pet, since it protects their entire body against insects and leishmaniasis.
The active ingredient in Scalibor, deltamethrin, is a highly lipophilic component that is released and distributed over the lipid layer of the dog's skin, covering its entire body, within a week. The dog receives the required amount of deltamethrin day after day for 12 months.
Scalibor is a 12-month repellent collar for sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and a 6-month repellent collar for culicid mosquitoes of the Culex pipiens complex.
This antiparasitic also prevents tick infestations for 6 months and flea infestations for 4 months . The repellent effect against Phlebotomus perniciosus, the transmission vector of Leishmania infantum, has been demonstrated.
Therefore, Scalibor can be considered as part of a program for the prevention of Leishmania infantum infection.

Application mode:
- It is recommended to remove the dust from the collar with a damp cloth before its placement.
- Place the collar leaving a space of two fingers between the collar and the collar, thus facilitating rubbing and the release of the deltamethrin.
- Cut the excess collar leaving 5 cm behind the pin.
- Wash your hands with soap and cold water after handling the necklace.
- Scalibor needs a week to reach its maximum effectiveness. This is the time it takes for deltamethrin to spread throughout the body.
Precautions:
- Cases of local allergic reaction. Remove the collar, wait 48 hours, and put it back on. If the allergic reaction persists, remove the collar permanently and treat the dog with another product.
- Use of shampoo. If you use shampoo to wash your dog, it removes the lipid layer and, consequently, the deltamethrin. The dog will be less protected for a week. It is better to use a shampoo that does not affect the lipid layer.
- Do not use the collar on dogs under 7 weeks of age.
- For some small dogs it can be toxic.

Antiparasitic pipettes for dogs Advantix
Advantix Pipettes is an antiparasitic for monthly application that effectively protects your pet from parasitic and blood-sucking insects throughout the year.
Characteristics:
- Safety and efficacy It can be applied from 1.5 kg and 7 weeks of age. It can also be used during the gestation and lactation period without becoming a risk for the puppies.
- Efficiency in the water. Advantix pipettes remain effective even if the animal gets wet. Thanks to its special excipient, it dissolves easily on the dog's lipid layer, achieving maximum protection in a very short time.
Protection against:
- ticks. It is capable of killing the most common dog ticks and has a powerful repellent effect that keeps them away from our animals.
- Fleas: Prevents the most frequent flea infestations of our dogs. In dogs that are already infested, Advantix is able to kill them quickly during the first 24 hours and also prevent new infestations during the next four weeks after the administration of the antiparasitic. Advantix is especially recommended for dogs with flea allergy (DAPP or flea allergy dermatitis) and many veterinarians routinely incorporate it into their strategy to combat this disease.
- Sandflies and mosquitoes: It has a powerful repellent effect against sandflies, the main transmitters of Leishmaniosis, a serious disease that can be fatal.
Composition: 1 pipette of 1.0 ml contains 100 mg of imidacloprid and 500 mg of permethrin as active ingredients and butylated hydroxytoluene as antioxidant.
Mode of application: Correct administration of Advantix guarantees maximum protection for the dog.
- For dogs weighing 10kg or less: With the dog in an upright position, part the fur between the shoulders until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and firmly squeeze the pipette several times to deposit the entire contents directly on the skin.
- For dogs weighing more than 10kg: With the dog in a standing position, apply the entire content of the pipette evenly distributed between four points on the dorsal line of the animal from the shoulder area to the base of the tail. Separate the hair from each point of application until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and gently squeeze to deposit part of its content. Do not apply an excessive amount of the solution to one spot as it could run down the dog's side.
Formats:
- Advantix 0-4kg: For dogs weighing less than 4kg. Contains 4 pipettes of 0.4 ml each.
- Advantix 4-10kg: For dogs weighing between 4 and 10kg. Contains 4 pipettes of 1 ml each.
- Advantix 3: For dogs weighing between 10 and 25 kg. Contains 4 pipettes of 2.5 ml each.
- Advantix 4: For dogs weighing more than 25 kg. Contains 4 pipettes of 4 ml each.
