Prevention of flea multiplication by inhibition of the development of eggs (ovicidal activity) and of larvae and pupae (larvicidal activity) originating from eggs laid by adult fleas for eight weeks after application.

Treatment of infestations by biting lice (Trichodectes canis).
The veterinary medicine can be used as part of the treatment strategy for the control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD), where it has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.
contraindications
In the absence of available data, the veterinary medicinal product should not be used in puppies less than 8 weeks of age and/or weighing less than 2 kg.
Do not use in sick (eg systemic disease, fever) or convalescent animals.
Do not use in rabbits, as adverse reactions including death could occur.
In the absence of studies, use of the veterinary medicinal product in species other than the target species is not recommended.
This veterinary medicine is specially developed for dogs. Do not use in cats or ferrets as this could lead to overdose.
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.
Special warnings for each target species
Bathing or immersion in water should be avoided for 2 days after application of the veterinary medicinal product as well as bathing more frequently than once a week as no studies have been conducted to investigate how this affects the efficacy of the veterinary medicinal product. Emollient shampoos can be used prior to treatment, but reduce the duration of flea protection to approximately 5 weeks when used weekly after application of the veterinary medicinal product. Weekly baths with a 2% chlorhexidine medicated shampoo did not affect efficacy against fleas in a 6-week study.
Dogs should not be allowed to swim in waterways for 2 days after application. (See section 6.6).
There may be an adhesion of some ticks. For this reason, the transmission of infectious diseases cannot be completely excluded if conditions are unfavorable.
Pet fleas often infest the animal's baskets, bedding and habitual resting areas, such as carpets and soft furnishings, which should be treated in the case of massive infestation and at the start of control measures, with a suitable insecticide and vacuumed regularly.
Other pets present in the same household should also be treated with a suitable veterinary medicinal product.
