Composition per tablet: Sorbitol, 210 mg. Dry extract of Lespedeza, 90 mg. Cynara, 80mg. Orthosiphon, 50 mg.
Properties: Sorbitol: It is found in nature in fruits of plants of the Rosaceae genus (pear, apple, peach and cherry), in the Plantaginaceae family and in red algae. It has appetite stimulating properties. It acts as an osmotic diuretic, by increasing the blood concentration of electrolytic and non-electrolytic substances to overcome the tubular reabsorption capacity. Lespedeza: Stimulates the renal elimination of toxins and is hypoglycemic. Cynara: A genus that includes about 15 species of thistle-like plants (among them the artichoke). Contains cynarin, a substance with a known choleretic effect. It is also hypocholesterolemic, decreases the beta/alpha ratio of lipoproteins and has a diuretic effect. Plants of the genus Cynara also have sterols that limit the absorption of cholesterol in the intestine. It has a hypoglycemic effect, due to its iron content it is anti-anemic and, in addition, it plays an important role in the prevention of gallstones and kidney stones. Ortosiphon: Ortosiphon stamineus: It is also known as Java tea or cat's whiskers. It is rich in flavonoids, polyphenols, potassium and essential oils. It is a powerful diuretic that favors the elimination of liquids, urea, uric acid and chlorides. Draining action that favors the elimination of stones (both biliary and renal). It has been used traditionally in the treatment of kidney and bladder diseases. Flavonoids help eliminate fat. It has a liver detoxifying effect and helps to safely accelerate liver regeneration processes. It is used in chronic liver diseases without, in the long run, undesirable side effects being observed. It is also used in liver disorders accompanied by loss of appetite and weight loss. There is no interference with other drugs such as antibiotics and anti-inflammatories.
Applications: Its use as a support in the treatment of congestive heart failure, renal failure (both acute and chronic), edema and ascitesis interesting . Active plant substances are useful if there are urinary stones, cystitis, nephritis, high cholesterol levels and prostatitis.
Dosage/administration: Orally. Dogs: 1 tablet for every 6 kg of weight 2 times a day (maximum 5 tablets daily). Period of use: up to 6 months, initially.
