Thanks to its exclusive composition, it helps to restore the integrity of the intestinal epithelium, and improves the defensive and digestive function of the intestine. Butyrogenic a-glucan produces butyrate in the animal's intestine, which is the main energetic substrate of the colonocyte, thus facilitating the renewal and repair of the epithelium. The mucosal surface of the intestine is covered by a single layer of cells, called enterocytes. Butyrogenic a-glucan helps the enterocyte to develop protective mechanisms against oxidative stress, and there is evidence that it helps to modulate inflammation at the local level. MPS Protect presents evidence of local inflammation modulation, by strengthening the mucins that coat the intestinal surface, preventing the adhesion of pathogenic bacteria to the intestinal mucosa. b-Glucans and MOS are the specific substrate of beneficial bacteria, and improve their viability against pathogenic microorganisms. MOS has been shown to be capable of neutralizing food toxins, favoring their excretion.

Composition per envelope:
a-butyrogenic glucan 2500 mg, MPS protect 120 mg, b-glucans 300 mg and mannan oligosaccharides

Indications and target species:
In dogs and cats with chronic and/or recurrent intestinal disorders in which there is continuous inflammation and/or damage to the intestinal epithelium, caused by:
Immune-mediated reactions and IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease).
Intestinal permeability disorders: PLE (protein-losing enteropathy) and LGS (Leaky Gut Syndrome).
Diarrhea that responds to antibiotics, and prolonged treatment with antibiotics.
Infections (viral, bacterial, fungal, protozoal).
Chronic dysfunctions of organs associated with the gastrointestinal tract (liver failure, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency).
Chronic renal failure.
Allergies, food hypersensitivities.
Toxins and drugs (NSAIDs, cytotoxic-chemotherapeutic agents).
Hypoxia and ischemia.
Contraindications:
Entero-Chronic does not produce adverse effects and can be administered for long periods of time without harming the body.

Route of administration:
Oral.
Posology:
Administer orally, once a day, for a minimum of 15 days. You can also distribute the envelopes between the food intakes that the dog does per day.
Puppies and Kittens : ½ on.
Cats and dogs <5 kg: ½ sachet.
Cats and dogs 5-15 kg: 1 envelope.
Dogs 16-35 kg: 2 sachets.
Dogs >35 kg : 3 sachets.
The product can be administered by pouring it directly on the food.
Wait time:
Depending on the severity of the case and the evolution of the animal, at the discretion of the veterinarian, the administration period can be extended up to 30 days and even up to 6 months in highly chronic situations.
